Freight quote automation for Singapore forwarders

Replace the repeated handoffs between email, WhatsApp, spreadsheets and rate sheets with one bounded workflow: capture a complete request, prepare it for pricing and keep its status visible.

One quote workflow

The current workflow

The quote starts as an incomplete message

An enquiry arrives, somebody works out what is missing, asks for it, and retypes the answer into a working sheet. Pricing then depends on a second rate source whose current version may live with one person.

The same shipment details can move through several tools before a customer receives a quote. Follow-up status is often another manual list or something the sender remembers.

The first release

One defined path from request to follow-up

The initial build covers one agreed quote workflow rather than attempting to replace a transport-management system. Inputs, rate sources, roles, approval points and output are written into the scope before implementation starts.

That boundary keeps the release testable and makes its limitations clear to the team that will operate it.

Proposed workflow

From enquiry to quote-ready record

The exact fields and states follow your operation. These are the four parts normally worth reviewing first.

  1. 01

Capture the details needed to price

The request asks for service, origin, destination, cargo, dimensions, ready date and other agreed fields before it enters the quote queue.

  2. 02

    Flag missing or out-of-scope requests

Required details and coverage rules are checked early, so the team can resolve gaps before somebody starts building a rate.

  3. 03

Build the quote from the current rate source

The agreed rate-sheet or system connection becomes part of the workflow. The exact integration is confirmed during scoping; no platform is assumed.

  4. 04

    Track status and follow-up

Open, quote-ready, sent, chased, won and lost become visible states instead of notes held in separate inboxes and spreadsheets.

Representative interface

A concrete view of the captured request

Representative interface — sample data, not a client system.. It shows the shape of the NS Logistics Global build and is not a promise that every quote workflow uses the same fields or screen.

Integrations

Connect only what the first release needs

Integration feasibility, access and third-party fees are confirmed before they enter the written scope.

Boundaries

Not a TMS, customs platform or open-ended rate engine

It does not replace a TMS, customs platform or carrier system. This page describes the layer around one quoting workflow. Customs filing, carrier connectivity, unrestricted rate management, large migrations and systems without usable access are outside the base scope unless explicitly assessed and quoted.

Human approval can remain wherever commercial judgement is needed; automation does not have to send a price without review.

Scope, price and timing

Start with one operating workflow

The applicable Business App / MVP range is S$2,700–S$24,000, with delivery typically approximately 2–4 weeks. A single workflow with one role and standard integrations sits nearer the lower end; more roles, bespoke integrations and production-hardening move the project upward.
